About
A little about me.
I’m a visual designer with over a decade of experience shaping digital products, design systems, and brand experiences. While craft and creativity are always at the center of my work, I’m most impactful when I can connect that craft to strategy — helping teams zoom out to the big picture while still caring about the tiniest pixel. I love building systems that scale, clarifying complex ideas, and guiding projects from blue-sky concept to polished, real-world execution.
My hands-on experience spans healthcare, venture capital, education, and consumer brands, which means I’ve learned how to translate complexity into something that feels simple, clear, and human. Over the years, I’ve grown from making screens to shaping processes — partnering with engineers, PMs, and researchers to bring ambitious ideas to life in a way that actually works.
When I’m not designing, I’m usually outside hiking or camping with my family, or tending to my over-grown garden where I dream of adding beehives one day. I love setting a good tablescape, hosting cookbook club with friends, and finding ways to make everyday gatherings feel special. Creativity and community run through everything I do — from building digital products to cultivating moments of connection at home.
2024-Present
Blue Shield of California
Master Visual Designer
B2C – Healthcare – Product & Design Systems
At Blue Shield, I lead design system strategy across mobile and web, making sure our products feel consistent, accessible, and easy to use. I was also the only UI designer invited into three future-state “blue sky” incubators, where we explored how AI could simplify healthcare — things like surfacing benefits, improving cost transparency, and reducing the burden members feel in a complex system. Alongside this, I build out Figma libraries, partner closely with engineers, and help translate brand into product in a way that puts people first.
SignalFire
2023 – 2024
B2B – Venture Capital – Brand & Product
Fractional Creative Director
At SignalFire, I shaped and governed a high-end design system that tied together product and marketing. The work called for a refined visual eye and the ability to make small details feel seamless inside a rigid system. I collaborated with product teams and outside vendors to make sure the execution matched the brand’s high bar, balancing hands-on design with the bigger picture of system thinking.
Prolego
2020 – 2024
B2B – AI – Data Visualization & Platforms
UX/UI Consultant
For Prolego, I built a modular design system and UI kit that sped up prototyping and helped bring stakeholders on board. My focus was on making dashboards, editors, and data visualizations feel approachable and clear, even when the workflows were highly technical. It was a mix of brand strategy and interface design, with the goal of bringing clarity and accessibility to an AI-driven product suite.
Optimizely
2017 – 2023
B2C – E-Commerce – Web Design & Experimentation
Product Designer
At Optimizely, I designed and tested web variations for big e-commerce brands like Nike, Blue Apron, Whole Foods, and Serena & Lily. That meant working on onboarding, sign-up, and checkout flows — the critical places where conversion happens. It was a great training ground for pairing creativity with data, since every design decision could be tested, measured, and refined in real time.
Telepathy
2012 – 2017
B2B – Agency – SaaS, Consumer, & EdTech
Senior UX/UI Designer
Telepathy was one of the first dedicated UX/UI agencies, and working there gave me exposure to a wide range of clients. I designed consumer-facing marketing sites and LMS tools in the EdTech space, often translating complex concepts into simple, clear websites that resonated with everyday users. The agency’s culture really sharpened my craft and taught me how to balance accessibility, performance, and visual impact in everything I made.
